In 2006, Lisa Donovan started the channel LisaNova and soon after Ben Donovan and Dan Zappin helped Lisa grow the channel into one of the most viewed and highly respected destinations on YouTube. After Google purchased YouTube, LisaNova became one of the first 50 channels partnered and monetized on the site.
In 2009, Lisa, Ben and Dan joined forces with other established artists including Shay Carl and Kassem G to form Maker Studios. This talented group pooled their resources and drove audiences to Maker's first channel, The Station, to collaborate and operate with a talent-first mindset.
What began as friends with a vision quickly grew to several sound stages, editing suites, millions of subscribers and billions of views.
