Challenge

Universal Pictures approached Maker to create awareness and drive ticket sales for their film Pitch Perfect.

Strategy

Maker created a UGC contest in which 600+ people submitted videos in a 10-day window to participate in a music video with the cast of Pitch Perfect and Maker talent Mike Tompkins. In the epic collaboration video, Tompkins, the cast of the film, and fans covered Nicki Minaj's "Starships."

Challenge

Drive viewership to Target’s Back to College Campaign: “Bullseye University,” a four-day live stream during which YouTube stars resided in an open dorm.

Strategy

A lot of us wish we could go back to college, and Maker talent Meekakitty, Chester See, Clothes Encounter, Dodger and Magic of Rahat did just that in Target's Back to College Campaign: Bullseye University. In a four-day live stream, talent lived in an open dorm room decked in Target décor. To drive traffic to Target's Bullseye University site, talent created YouTube and engaged their social audiences. Each item in the dorm was available for purchase, simply by clicking an interactive pin next to the item.

Case StudyPacific Rim

Challenge

Raise awareness for the Warner Bros/Legendary Pictures early July release of PACIFIC RIM.

Strategy

In a month-long campaign, six major YouTube stars from Polaris, asked audiences to vote on how they would equip a giant robot "Jaeger." Maker then built Jaeger costumes (and a giant monster "Kaiju"), and produced a narrative piece (with a Guillermo del Toro cameo) that achieved over 1M views during the first week of the campaign. The combined interactive voting campaign, behind-the-scenes videos, and epic featurette garnered 4.1M total views, and combined traditional "Pacific Rim" media with memorable, shareable Custom Content.

Challenge

Drive awareness and purchase of Pine-sol among males 21-35.

Strategy

Maker tapped legendary YouTube prankster Ed Bassmaster, a popular comedian among the young male demographic, to create three custom videos incoprorating Pine-sol.

Strategy
